Castle, near Maybole - Owned and managed by the National Trust
for Scotland, Culzean Castle stands on the cliffs looking out towards
Arran and Ailsa Craig. The Castle was built by Robert Adam in the 18th
century and in the 20th century, President Eisenhower was given the
use of apartments during his lifetime in recognition of his contribution
to the war effort. Within the Castle grounds are a deer park, swan pond,
children's play area, picnic area, restaurant, visitor centre, and a

was born has been restored to be today much as it was during the poet's
